How do I find the right entertainment?
This is the fun part! Have a look through our wide range of first-class acts to find the perfect live band for your event.

If you can’t find what you’re looking for then let us know and with just a few details we can start to create a picture of what the best custom show would be like for your event.
How do I hire a band?
Easy! Get in touch via the booking form, email or phone and we can get the ball rolling. We require a minimum deposit of 17.5% and a contract agreement between you and the band with the finer details.
Can we see the act live first?
The acts are professional musicians that don’t tend to do public performances but there are some occasions where our bands perform at public events. Drop us a line and we’ll let you know if there’s an opportunity.
Will I be in touch with the live band?
Yes! Once the booking is complete and confirmed, contact information will be exchanged between both you and the act. You can both hatch a plan for the day of the event and it gives you an opportunity to get to know your band.
Will the act be loud?
This will mostly depend on the act you book. They are all different in style and all use different equipment. If there are any specific requirements with the level of noise i.e. noise limiter and other sound restrictions, then all of our acts are professional and will respect limitations.
Further to that we do have systems in place to provide the acts with specialised equipment to make sure the restrictions are met but this will have to be arranged prior. Please be aware it is your responsibility to notify us or the band about any noise restrictions.
Will the wedding band play our first dance and take requests?
Most bands will be willing to play your first dance providing it’s within their capability. Bands will also take requests if it’s within their repertoire. Remember our acts have expertly arranged their set to provide the best show possible so too many requests may disturb the performance.
How long will the act take to set up and how much space will they require?
The acts will have their own process and requirements for this but generally the act will need 40+ minutes to set up and then a short amount of time to be able to properly sound check equipment and levels.
What would we need to supply for the act of our choice?
The band will require basic refreshments and if the time between the act’s arrival and finish is over 4 hours, they will require a meal and a place to freshen up/change.
The acts will also require a sufficient area for them to set up along with soundcheck time and a reliable source of power – but these details will vary for each band.
How do we pay the deposit?
Instructions will be found on the invoice when you complete your booking. It will be required within 30 days of the invoice date and can sent via bank transfer. A receipt will be provided.
When/how is the remaining balance due?
The remaining balance can be paid at any time leading up the event and must be paid to the band (not HD Events). This can be arranged between the customer and the act.
Do the acts supply all of their own equipment?
In short, yes. All acts are completely self-sufficient and will have all sound and lighting equipment. If the act is quoted without equipment (possibly for events abroad or where there’s already equipment supplied) then there will have to be equipment arranged by either the customer or band. In this instance, a full kit list will be provided.
Will the act have public liability insurance and PAT testing certificates?
Yes, all of our acts have PLI and PAT tested equipment, copies of these documents can be requested from the act.
